8th Graders Compete at Middle School STATES!

On Sunday afternoon our two eighth graders went to Pool Green Park to compete at the brand new state meet just for grades 6-8. The race was only a 4k which was different from the usual distance for the girls' races but they handled the change well! Savannah Merriwether ran 17:00 for the 2.5 miles to place 35th overall in the championship division! She averaged under 7 minute pace and both girls averaged under 7:30. Eva Weaver clocked a 18:35 to place 73rd. It is so exciting to see all of this young talent on our team and we can't wait to run with these ladies again next year!
